Importing Master Template

You can create or update multiple items by importing Master Template for the selected page.

To create/ update multiple items using the Master Template:

  1. Click Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > Master Import. The EXCEL MASTERS IMPORT page is displayed. See Screen Shot.

Alternatively, click IMPORT on the ACTIONS panel of a page. You are redirected to the EXCEL MASTERS IMPORT page. For more information, click here.

  1. Select Module Name in the Modules drop-down list.
  2. Select the Department Name in the Department drop-down list.
  3. Select the Master Type in the Master Type drop-down list. The Master Type specifies the item to be updated.
  4. Click DOWNLOAD MASTER IMPORT TEMPLATE. A Microsoft Excel sheet is downloaded to your system. The Excel sheet has specific name and columns. The name and configuration of the Excel sheet depends on the option selected on the Master Type field. Update the required data in the Excel sheet and save it.
  5. Click in the Source field to upload the saved Excel sheet, and then click SUBMIT.
  6. Click the link on the Select column. You are redirected to the MAP COLUMNS tab where you can map the Source and Destination fields. See screen Shot.
  7. Click NEXT. You are redirected to the UPLOAD MASTER tab where you can preview the data in the Excel sheet. If there are multiple entries  in the Excel sheet, you can check the Discard check box to exclude the selected entries from being updated in the selected Item. See Screen Shot.
  8. Click BULK UPLOAD to update the data for the selected Items.

 

Note: According to Module, add/update the value in Excel to add/modify Department and Master Type fields in the application.
